What we believe.
What does your church believe?
At Yellow Springs UMC, we are a community of faith rooted in the love and grace of Jesus Christ. As part of the United Methodist Church, we believe in:
God’s love for all people — no exceptions.
Jesus Christ as our Savior, whose life, death, and resurrection bring hope and new life.
The Holy Spirit, who empowers us to grow in faith and live out God’s love.
The Bible as the inspired Word of God, guiding us in faith and daily living.
Grace — freely given by God, not earned — and the call to extend that grace to others.
Faith in action — serving others, seeking justice, and sharing God’s love in the world.
We believe that following Jesus is a lifelong journey, and we walk it together—with questions, doubts, joys, and all. Everyone is welcome here, no matter where you are on your spiritual path.
How do I become a member?
Becoming a member is a meaningful step in your faith journey. Simply let the pastor know, and she will gladly walk you through the steps to join our church family. We’re excited to walk alongside you!
Do I need to be baptized to attend?
No, you do not need to be baptized to attend. Everyone is welcome at Yellow Springs UMC, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey.
If you’re interested in being baptized, we would be honored to be the community that shares in that transformative and sacred moment with you.
